Braves | New TV duo hired

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Tim Tucker reports FSN South and SportSouth, both owned by Fox, hired veteran Atlanta Braves broadcaster Joe Simpson and former Florida Marlins broadcaster Jon Sciambi to call the 80 Braves games that will air next season on the two regional sports cable channels. Sciambi, who will do play-by-play, and Simpson, who will be the analyst, will replace last season's tandem of Bob Rathbun and Jeff Torborg on the Fox stations' Braves telecasts. Simpson also will continue to call games on TBS, as his new deal with Turner Sports calls for him to work at least 50 Braves games on TBS next season.
