Texans | Weary's attorney says charges should be dropped
The Associated Press reports Houston Texans OG Fred Weary's attorney, Charley Davidson, told Houston television station KRIV that the misdemeanor resisting arrest charges against Weary should be dropped. "It seems clear to me from the people we have talked to and from what we have developed that this did not happen the way these
two officers said it did. He did not resist arrest that afternoon and he certainly did not deserve to get himself Tasered," said Davidson. Weary was shot with a Taser and arrested after a traffic stop Tuesday, Nov. 14. Davidson added, "I think these officers overreacted. I think they completely missed the boat on what was going on with him and he's the one who's paying for it."
