Angels | Kennedy won't be retained via long-term deal
Updating previous items, the LA Times' Mike DiGiovanna reports the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have told free-agent 2B Adam Kennedy they will not attempt to retain him via a long-term deal. "I told him if he doesn't find a deal to his liking, and he'd be interested in coming back on a short-term contract, we'd be open to that," said Angels general manager Bill Stoneman. However, Kennedy's agent states the infielder has already drawn interest from three to five teams.
