MLB | Steroids news report inaccurate

ESPN.com reports the federal prosecutor in charge of baseball's steroids investigation and the lawyer of former pitcher Jason Grimsley both had doubts about the validity of a report that named five players, including Houston Astros SP Roger Clemens, as performance-enhancing drug users. The prosecutor stated the report, which came from the Los Angeles Times, contained "significant inaccuracies," including the five names in the report. Grimsley's attorney, Ed Novak, said "never in a million years" would Clemens or fellow Houston Astros SP Andy Pettitte use illegal performance enhancers. Novak said reports naming Baltimore Orioles 2B Brian Roberts and OF Jay Gibbons as steroids users were also untrue.
