Seahawks | Rhodes's health scare causes team's plane to land early
The Associated Press reports Seattle Seahawks special defensive assistant Ray Rhodes had a health scare on the team's charter flight early Monday, Oct. 2, which caused the plane to make an emergency landing in Rapid City, S.D. Rhodes reportedly "felt faint" and team physicians on board suggested the plane stop. Rhodes was taken from the airport to a hospital in an ambulance. Head coach Mike Holmgren said dehydration and Rhodes not eating much Sunday, Oct. 1 caused him to feel faint. He spent the night in a hospital and then flew back to Seattle Monday on a commercial jet. Rhodes had two strokelike incidents during the fall in 2005.
