Raiders | T. Brown says team lacks a leader
Steve Corkran, of the Contra Costa Times, reports former Oakland Raiders WR Tim Brown said during an interview with the Los Angeles Times the team is lacking a leader in the locker room. Brown added, "I was on some bad teams there, but we were never devoid of leadership. Be it me, be it [RB] Marcus Allen back in the day, be it [DL] Howie Long, be it whomever. We were never devoid of leadership. And, right now the locker room is barren. I never played with [DL] Warren Sapp, and I'm not necessarily hearing bad things about Warren Sapp, but I'm not hearing `He's our guy' or `He's our leader.' I'm not hearing that about anybody on the offensive line, I'm not hearing that about anyone whatsoever." Sapp said during training camp he assumed a leadership role with the team and his teammates feel comfortable seeking his guidance.
