White Sox | Raines could be let go

Scott Merkin, of Chicago.WhiteSox.MLB.com, reports Chicago White Sox bench coach Tim Raines could be let go at the end of this season. Manager Ozzie Guillen has already stated he will bring back his entire staff for the 2007 season and beyond, however, that did not include a commitment for Raines to return next season. "Right now, it's hard for us," said Guillen. "I'm going to sit with [general manager] Kenny [Williams] and [chairman] Jerry [Reinsdorf] and see what direction we go, what we need and what we have to get done. Then we decide about it, what we are going to do." Raines was the first base coach for the 2005 version of the White Sox before being moved to bench coach this season.
