Vikings | Longwell throws first career touchdown pass Week 2
Judd Zulgad, of the Star-Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings PK Ryan Longwell threw his first career touchdown pass during the Week 2 game against the Carolina Panthers. Longwell hit TE Richard Owens on a fake field-goal attempt in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 13. Vikings special teams coordinator Paul Ferraro was the special teams assistant with the Panthers in 2005. Head coach Brad Childress said, "(Ferraro) felt like there was, I guess the word would be a flaw, in the rush."
