Rockies | Cook makes minor adjustment to sinker, gets win

The Associated Press' Pat Graham reports Colorado Rockies SP Aaron Cook made an adjustment to his sinkerball, throwing more four-seam pitches during his Aug. 27 start against the San Diego Padres. Cook induced 11 groundball outs in a 6-3 victory. "Mainly, I did it to keep the lefties off balance because I had been getting beat a lot down away from lefties," Cook said. "Mike DeJean told me that they had felt too comfortable with me and weren't being stood up at all so I needed to come in hard and in on them."
