Rams | Team's first group stops run well Saturday

Nick Wagoner, of StLouisRams.com, reports the St. Louis Rams' first-team defense held the Houston Texans to74 yards over four offensive series. A 21-yard run by Houston Texans RB Wali Lundy was one run Rams head coach Scott Linehan was upset with. Defensive coordinator Jim Haslett attributed the miscue to an error in positioning by DL Victor Abeyanju. Haslett said, "We stopped the run with the first group pretty well. In retrospect, we tackled well but we didn't do a good job with alignments, getting aligned properly, the assignments weren't executed well. There weren't major breakdowns. It's going to be time consuming. That was a good test for us because that team is a lot like Denver."
