Giants | Coughlin happy with defensive tackle improvement

Vinny DiTrani, of the Bergen Record, reports New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin was happy to see his defensive unit improve, particularly DTs Fred Robbins and William Joseph. "It wasn't just the coaches," Robbins said of last week's disenchantment. "We knew ourselves we didn't play hard or well last week. The coaches just gave us a little more incentive." Hoped-for continued improvement by the tackles, including backup DTs Barry Cofield and Jonas Seawright, makes the signing of a free agent veteran unlikely at this time.
