Giants | Manning leads team to 17-0 win
The Associated Press reports New York Giants QB Eli Manning shredded the Kansas City Chiefs for touchdowns on two of the first three drives, capping the first drive with a 5-yard touchdown toss to WR Amani Toomer and handing off to RB Brandon Jacobs for a 1-yard plunge on the third series during the team's preseason win Thursday evening, Aug. 17. The other drive probably would have resulted in points had not TE Jeremy Shockey and WR Tim Carter been hit with consecutive holding penalties in Chiefs territory.
