49ers | Hamilton to receive an injury settlement from the team

Dennis Georgatos, of the San Jose Mercury News, reports former San Francisco 49ers WR Derrick Hamilton is due an injury settlement from the team. He never returned to practice after pulling a hamstring on the first day of training camp. "I didn't really get the opportunity to know him all that well," head coach Mike Nolan said. "He just showed flashes. It's unfortunate. Anytime your first-day picks aren't on the squad, that's a disappointment."
