NFL | Carson lobbies for better treatment of retired players during speech
Tom Reed, of the Akron Beacon Journal, reports Hall of Fame LB Harry Carson lobbied for better treatment of retired players during his induction speech for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Carson said, "If we made the league what it is, you have to do a better job of taking care of your own." The league and its union recently reached an agreement to improve pensions and benefits by $120 million a year.
