Jets | Team feeling out the running-back market

The New York Daily News reports the New York Jets are exploring the running-back market, according to sources, an indication the club might not think RB Curtis Martin (knee) will be ready for the season opener, if at all. Martin has said he wants to play this season, but there are growing indications he might not fit in the Jets' plans. Chances are the Jets will wait a game or two before doing anything, giving them a chance to evaluate RBs Cedric Houston, Derrick Blaylock and rookie RB Leon Washington.
