NFL | Nash requested to be released from team

Jim Wyatt, of the Tennessean, reports free agent RB Damien Nash (Titans) requested to be released from the Tennessee Titans. Nash requested the move in large part because of the number of running backs the team had on the roster. Nash's agent, David Canter, said, "He realized his best opportunities were probably elsewhere. It is disappointing for us, but at the same time, Damien feels like he needed a fresh start." Nash was reportedly in head coach Jeff Fisher's doghouse after showing up to training camp overweight and out of shape. Canter claimed there was a "miscommunication" as to what Nash's weight was supposed to be and Nash was "mad" because he was not allowed to practice.
