Broncos | Sauerbrun's appeal of suspension denied

Andrew Mason, of DenverBroncos.com, reports Denver Broncos P Todd Sauerbrun's appeal of his four-game suspension for a positive ephedra test failed. "We appealed everything," said Sauerbrun, who said the appeal took place a few days ago. "It didn't really have much of a fighting chance. We went down fighting and it didn't really work out for us." Sauerbrun said he felt "disgusted" about putting the team and head coach Mike Shanahan in a position to defend him and added that the positive test was an isolated incident. "I can assure you it was a one-time thing," said Sauerbrun. "I take full responsibility. I've got to be responsible."
