Ravens | Billick does not need to make the playoffs to remain as head coach
Jamison Hensley, of the Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore Ravens head coach Brian Billick does not need to reach the postseason in 2006 to remain as the Ravens' head coach. Billick set, "The criteria the organization sets is not measured by a definitive number of wins. How do you judge a 9-7 playoff year vs. a 10-6 non-playoff year? [Owner] Steve Bisciotti made it very clear that he's looking for a certain style to what we're going to do organizationally. And Steve is not going to pigeonhole himself and put some arbitrary number out there. But certainly, you have to be successful." Biscotti did say during the owners meetings in March he would not fire Billick midseason under any circumstance.
