Bears | Wilks discusses Manning Jr.

Larry Mayer, of ChicagoBears.com, reports Chicago Bears defensive backs coach Steven Wilks recently discussed Bears' backup CB Ricky Manning Jr. "Ricky's real smart. You can tell that he understands the game. He's a great communicator and has good skills and good feet and he puts himself in a good position to make plays. We brought him in to play nickel, and he's going to make us better in that position but also I think that he's a guy who's going to be able to step in and play corner as well."
