Broncos | Team could add another punter or kickoff specialist

Lee Rasizer, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports the Denver Broncos front office has begun scouring the market for experienced help and could add another body for training camp to cover for the absence of suspended P Todd Sauerbrun. However, special teams coach Ronnie Bradford made it clear Friday, July 7, that replacing Sauerbrun's level of productivity will be difficult, even for a month. "It's one of those things where you have a question mark behind it," Bradford said. "Todd's a Pro Bowl punter. So I don't know if you can sustain. If we get somewhere near that level, I think we'll be OK. But Todd played well for us last year." The only positive for the Broncos is that any suspension for Sauerbrun wouldn't cost them a roster spot. The team still probably will have to find a kickoff specialist. It's a role PK Jason Elam gave up a few years ago and isn't eager to resume.
