Giants | Pope discusses B. Williams
Michael Eisen, of Giants.com, reports New York Giants tight ends coach Mike Pope was asked about TE Boo Williams and he replied: "I saw some positive things from him. He's powerful enough, he's big enough, he obviously has some experience in the league. We're still talking different languages, because the West Coast system that he came out of is a little bit of carryover but it's still a foreign language. He can make the schoolyard-type plays once he knows what he's doing because he is athletically gifted. We don't have a whole new offense. You get two things with him. You've got some experience and you have a guy who's big enough to be a good blocker. It isn't as if he's a rookie coming in at that stage. He has played a lot of football. So we'll see what happens when we get to training camp. He's got a lot of work to do this summer and I'll be consistently monitoring and staying in touch with him. He's got things to take home with him and learn and take home and study and he's going to do a lot of catching up himself."
