Buccaneers | Agent says family emergency caused Fonoti to miss practice

The St. Petersburg Times reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers OL Toniu Fonoti failed to report to Tuesday's opening practice, June 20, because a family emergency required his attention back home in California, according to his agent. There was some initial confusion because the Bucs weren't immediately made aware of the matter, prompting head coach Jon Gruden after the morning practice to indicate that Fonoti was absent without permission. Fonoti is reportedly on his way to Tampa for practice Wednesday, June 21.
