49ers | Oliver signed

Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports the San Francisco 49ers have signed rookie DE Melvin Oliver, one of the team's three sixth-round picks, to a four-year deal worth $1.695 million. Oliver's deal includes a $85,280 signing bonus and minimum base salaries for the four years. The deal also includes a possible "escalator," which could increase his base salary for 2009.
