Saints | Bryant thankful for second chance after injury
Chris Pika, of NewOrleansSaints.com, reports New Orleans Saints DL Tony Bryant says he's appreciative of all the practices, reps and camaraderie in the locker room more now than when he first came into the league in 1999. Bryant suffered a neck injury and experienced numbness in his entire body in November 2002 while playing for the Oakland Raiders and did not return to the NFL until he was signed by New Orleans near the end of the 2003 regular season. "People don't understand that it doesn't last long," said Bryant, who has played in all 32 games in the past two seasons with the Saints. "It's here today and tomorrow, it's gone. When I was at home, I missed the camaraderie with the guys - I missed everything. Now, every day is a blessing for me whether it's in the locker room, or when I get on the field."
