Giants | Couch canceled visit; may need more surgery
Mark Story, of the Herald-Leader, reports free agent QB Tim Couch (Packers) underwent an MRI for the Indianapolis Colts which revealed more issues with his arm. "Tim knew before that that his arm was bothering him again," his brother, Greg Couch said Friday, June 9. "The Colts did an MRI and it showed what the problem was." As a result, Tim Couch canceled a scheduled tryout with the New York Giants and sent a copy of the MRI to Dr. James Andrews, the famed sports orthopedic surgeon, who did the original arm operation on Couch. Now Tim Couch waits to see if he can just rest the injury or if it requires more surgery. If the verdict comes back that Couch will need another surgery, it's possible that could end his football career for good.
