Jets | Chrebet still bothered by headaches
Ken Berger, of Newsday, reports retired New York Jets WR Wayne Chrebet said at his retirement news conference Friday, June 2, he still has post-concussion symptoms. "Headaches are a big daily part of my life," he said. "It's been like that for the last couple of years. I don't want to say you get used to it, but you learn to expect it. The risk was certainly worth the reward. You wake up every morning like you have a hangover," he said. "I don't know why that is. I've been told it goes away eventually. I look forward to that day." Perhaps wanting to hold on to the slim hope that he could play again, Chrebet delayed his retirement announcement as long as he could.
