Bills | Everett ready to challenge for starting TE spot

Jay Skurski, of the Niagara Gazette, reports Buffalo Bills TE Kevin Everett is ready to compete for the team's starting tight end spot. He missed all of 2005 after tearing the ACL in his left knee during a preseason workout. "It's feeling good man," Everett said of his surgically-repaired knee. "I'm just trying to get it back to 100 percent. That's why I'm out here working, lifting every day." After the Bills released TE Mark Campbell, last season's starter at tight end, Everett realized he had a chance to get significant playing time in 2006. The opportunity for extended playing time has him excited. The Bills signed TE Robert Royal, a member of the Washington Redskins last season, to compete with Everett for the tight end spot. The team also has three other tight ends on the roster.
