MLB | Mantei may retire

Jason Beck, of Tigers.MLB.com, reports former Detroit Tigers P Matt Mantei requested his release from the team during his rehabilitation in Triple-A. Mantei has suffered injuries every year he has pitched in the Major Leagues and said during Spring Training he would retire if he suffered another long-term injury.
