Jaguars | Cordova battling at linebacker

Bart Hubbuch, of the Florida Times-Union, reports Jacksonville Jaguars LB Jorge Cordova is battling for the team's opening at weakside linebacker. He has been held back by knee injuries in his first two NFL seasons. "He's been a fierce competitor up to this point," Jacksonville Jaguars linebackers coach Mark Duffner said of Cordova. "He has a legitimate shot of winning the job. He's caught a lot of people's attention with his actions. He's showing a lot of the skills we need at that position. It's like he was never injured. He shows no residue of any injury."
