NFL | Marino involved in buying Hollywood visual effects studio
Kit Bradshaw, of TCPalm.com, reports Wyndcrest Holdings LLC announced the purchase of Digital Domain Monday, May 15, for $35 million. Digital Domain is a Hollywood visual effects studio that has created computer generated scenes in "Titanic" and "The Day After Tomorrow." One of the principals of Wyndcrest Holdings LLC, a private investment and acquisition firm, is Hall of Fame QB Dan Marino. John Textor, founder and managing principal of Wyndcrest Holdings LLC, said Digital Domain would remain in California, but added he would forward to talking with the Palm Beach County Film Commission. The commission has never contacted him, although Hollywood director and producer Michael Bay has been his partner for eight years.
