Pirates | Wells making progress

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports Pittsburgh Pirates SP Kip Wells (blood clot), who is recovering from blood clot surgery, will come to Pittsburgh within two weeks to throw several bullpen sessions under the watch of pitching coach Jim Colborn. General manager Dave Littlefield said Wells then will return to Bradenton to compete in extended spring training, followed by a stint in Indianapolis, and that he remains on pace to return by the All-Star break.
