Redskins | Seeking Sanders?

Mark Maske reports in the Washington Post that their sources have told them that the Redskins are considering putting together a trade offer for Lions RB Barry Sanders. A deal like that would be very difficult because of the two team's cap situations. With three first-round picks in next year's college draft, the Redskins have the resources to pull off a major trade. There have been no talks yet, but new owner Daniel Snyder has made it clear he will not be afraid to make big moves. Snyder would not comment on the Sanders speculation. Also, Post sources say that team officials have basically decided against signing RB Lawrence Phillips.
