Bears | Police and courts: R. Manning Jr. has May 18 court date

K.C. Johnson, of the Chicago Tribune, reports Chicago Bears CB Ricky Manning Jr. has a court date set for May 18 after being charged with assault with a deadly weapon. The incident could violate Manning's probation from a 2002 arrest for a fight outside of a Los Angeles bar. General manager Jerry Angelo said, "He'll be fine. The information that we got we feel very solid about. It's unfortunate. Let that run its course. In the end, everything should work out well."
