Dolphins | Not Looking at Irvin

The Miami Herald reports that Dolphins coach Jimmy Johnson says he has no intentions of trading for Cowboys WR Michael Irvin, if he goes on the trading block. He said that Irvin was on the downside of his career and too expensive. He also balked at the idea that the Dolphins would be willing to trade for any of the veterans mentioned as possibly available such as Carl Pickens, Barry Sanders or Deion Sanders. "We've got no interest in making a trade for any player at this stage," Johnson said. "If they're available on the waiver wire, we'll take a look at them. . . . But you don't need to be calling me at home about a player being available in a trade."
