Hot off the Wire news, rumors and tips

Dolphins | Jimmy Unhappy with NFL

The Miami Herald reports Miami Dolphins head coach isn't very happy with the NFL after they encouraged the Dolphins to allow rookies to attend a promotional event earlier in the year. RB Cecil Collins, as reported on June 2nd, twisted his back on a trampoline and was forced to miss some time in the Dolphins' camp. While this was a NFLPA event, it was not a league event. The Dolphins have related this to a situation, although not as severe, as the one that has possibly ended the career of Patriots' RB Robert Edwards. ``Here's a guy [Collins] who could be a real key for us, and he gets hurt in something stupid,'' a Dolphins' staff member told the Miami Herald. ``You know guys can get hurt walking across the street, but you live with that. We thought this was going to be a few photos taken, and then all of a sudden they're jumping off trampolines. You get guys like that together and it becomes a competition thing and then it really gets stupid.''
