Jaguars | Team hosts J. Lopes
Bart Hubbuch, of the Florida Times-Union, reports the Jacksonville Jaguars hosted Edward Waters College LB/LS Joey Lopes for an interview, medical evaluation and drills Saturday morning, April 8, in advance of the April 29-30 NFL Draft. Lopes is not a polished prospect and recently ran the 40-yard dash in 4.79 seconds, which is considered slow for his position. Lopes wasn't invited to the NFL combine two months ago and had to travel to Bethune-Cookman in Daytona Beach for his Pro Day. He also is without an agent, and so far only the Jaguars have approached him.
