Vikings | Team to start contract negotiations with McMahon

Jeff Zulgad and Kevin Seifert, of the Star Tribune, report the Minnesota Vikings were planning to initiate contract negotiations Wednesday night, March 22, with free agent QB Mike McMahon (Eagles). He appears to be the team's top choice to back up starting QB Brad Johnson. He is scheduled to fly to Denver Thursday morning, March 23, but he did not rule out the possibility of signing with the Vikings before then.
