Packers | Team will have to top Longwell's offer to sign Vinatieri
Tom Silverstein, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports the Green Bay Packers have over $25 million left in salary cap space. In order to sign free agent PK Adam Vinatieri (Patriots), the team will likely have to top the five-year, $10 million contract Minnesota Vikings PK Ryan Longwell received. Longwell also received a $3 million signing bonus. Vinatieri arrived in Green Bay Thursday, March 16, with the intent of meeting with the Packers.
