Giants | Pressure on the Veterans
Newsday reports that as the Giants open a four-day veterans minicamp today, two Giants veterans who are feeling the pressure to hold onto their jobs are QB Kent Graham and RB Gary Brown. Both feel that many see them as temporary starters until younger players, namely Kerry Collins and rookie Joe Montgomery, are ready to take over. One key to the Giants season could be whether these competitions cause controversies or better performances. Graham says that Collins and himself have worked well together. Brown will use the arrival of his new competition at RB as motivation to prepare for 1999.
