MLB | Record Year for Hall of Fame Inductees

The Associated Press' Travis Reed reports this year's class of 18 inductees into the baseball Hall of Fame is the largest in history, surpassing the previous record of 11 in 1946. Although only one MLB player, former closer Bruce Sutter, was selected in the original voting, a special committee selected 17 more individuals Monday, Feb. 27. The 17 persons, including Effa Manley, the first woman elected into the Hall, all had associations with the Negro Leagues or pre-Negro Leagues.
