Seahawks | Who Called Who?

The Seattle Times reports that Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren denies he called the Vikings regarding a potential trade for Brad Johnson. Rather, he says that Vikings VP Jeff Diamond called him to see if the Seahawks had any interest in Johnson. Holmgren said he asked Diamond what Minnesota wanted in return. Diamond said someone like DE Michael Sinclair. "They also want a lot of other stuff," Holmgren said, probably meaning draft choices. Holmgren said yesterday that he is not interested in trading Sinclair. "I'm counting on him to do great things for the Seahawks," he said. "I have no intentions of doing anything with Michael Sinclair." Holmgren continues to remain noncommittal on current QB Jon Kitna being the team's QB of the future.
