NCAA | Erickson accepts Idaho job

The Associated Press reports the University of Idaho has hired Dennis Erickson as their new head coach. He had his first head coaching position at Idaho from 1982-1985 before leaving for a string of college jobs that included two national championships at Miami. Erickson signed a five-year contract worth about $1.5 million. It contains performance bonuses that could push that figure to $2.5 million, athletic director Rob Spear said.
