NFL | Police and Courts: D. Lewis competent to stand trial
The Associated Press reports former NFL CB Darryll Lewis has been ruled competent to stand trial for allegedly evading police during a 30-minute chase in November. Lewis was charged with evading arrest, felony possession of a controlled substance, and three misdemeanors for allegedly being under the influence of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and possession of a smoking device. In a second case, Lewis faces charges for allegedly taking a vehicle without the owner's consent and obstructing an officer.
