NFL | M. Irvin’s personal issues hurting HOF status

The Associated Press reports former Dallas Cowboys RB Emmitt Smith believes former Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Irvin's personal problems are preventing some Hall of Fame voters from voting for him. Smith was not happy about it and said, "But you're going to try to bring this personal side of it? This is what he's done off the field -- what has that got to do with what he's done on the football field? This is the Pro Football Hall of Fame, not the Life Hall of Fame. His stats are what they are. They are not going to change."
