Broncos | No title for Heimerdinger yet
Jeff Legwold, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports the Denver Broncos plan to hire former New York Jets offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger for their coaching staff Monday, Jan. 30. What still is unclear is how head coach Mike Shanahan will distribute the titles surrounding Heimerdinger's hire. The Broncos had no one on the coaching staff ready to take over as offensive line coach. Because of that, either Heimerdinger or offensive line coach Rick Dennison is expected to carry an assistant head coach title, most likely Heimerdinger, while the other will carry the title of offensive coordinator.
