Bob LeGere, of the Daily Herald, reports the Buffalo Bills requested permission to speak with Chicago Bears assistant coach Bob Babich about the defensive coordinator position under their new head coach Dick Jauron. Babich was subsequently promoted to assistant head coach/linebackers by the Bears.
