Panthers | Police and courts: M. Fields

The Associated Press reports former Carolina Panthers LB Mark Fields has hired a lawyer and plans to plead not guilty to charges he drove drunk last month in Arizona, his agent said Thursday, Jan. 19. Fields was cited on seven charges, including extreme drunken driving, speeding, unsafe lane usage and providing police officers with false information. Agent Jim Steiner said Fields will investigate the circumstances surrounding his arrest and determine an appropriate course of action.
