Bears | Free Agency Notes

According to the Chicago Tribune, the Bears are now about $3.3 million under the salary cap after signing OL Blake Brockermeyer. Their main areas of focus now are expected to be QB and safety which means the Bears are re-thinking their position on LB Jamir Miller. "The quarterback situation is still awfully critical for us," said personnel chief Mark Hatley. "The quarterbacks we're interested in haven't said yet what they're looking for, so we'll have to see what happens there." As far as Miller goes, "We're not ready to make an offer right now," said Bears President Ted Phillips. "We'll have to see where some things are first." The team still plans to visit with LB Quentin Coryatt on Monday.
