Texans | More on Reeves hiring
Megan Manfull, of the Houston Chronicle, reports the Houston Texans made a personnel move Monday, Dec, 12, by hiring Dan Reeves to be a consultant to Texans' owner Bob McNair. Reeves will spend the next few weeks attending practices, watching film and talking with coaches, scouts and the general manager. Reeves will then offer suggestions to McNair on what the Texans should do in the offseason to turn around the franchise that is currently 1-12. "I've known Dan for a long time," McNair said. "We would like him to evaluate our team and give us his opinion as to how close we are to being a winning team. We have our thoughts as to what we need and we look forward to hearing Dan's independent evaluation and comments. He knows what it takes to get to the Super Bowl and that is our goal. I think that he can be a valuable resource for us as we go through this process."
