Rams | Shaw would be shocked if Martz could return

ESPN.com reports St. Louis Rams president John Shaw said he would be shocked if head coach Mike Martz was medically cleared to return for the 2005 season. The Rams spent last week negotiating a contract adjustment for interim head coach Joe Vitt which would increase his salary to nearly $1 million for an entire season. It would be prorated to the first game Vitt coached in October of 2005.
